Info on cooking class demonstrations:

Demonstrations in basic meal preparation / cooking are conducted by our in house executive chef who volunteers his time at our Freedman St site on a weekly basis.

Cooking demonstrations are held 10.00am – 1.00pm each Friday subject to Public Holidays.

The theme behind these demonstrations revolves around the word ‘basic’ using basic methods whilst introducing basic ingredients found within GFRC mini marts.

Each week our chef prepares 3-4 meals whereby upon the completion of his demonstration, those in need can obtain a pre-cooked nutritious meal prior to departure.
